What’s better than helping to improve outcomes for children born deaf or hard-of-hearing? Winning an award for doing it in style. How did we do it? By becoming emotionally invested in our client’s cause, or as we like to say, being authentic. So naturally, we’re completely delighted about winning the silver Modern Healthcare IMPACT Award (presented by Advertising Age and Modern Healthcare) for “Best Digital Campaign of the Year” in the advocacy category on November 9th for our work on the Hearing First brand launch and awareness campaign.

The contest recognizes “outstanding healthcare marketing campaigns that are impacting the industry…and are reinventing the way we, as an audience, receive and retain healthcare information…” Hearing First helps children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing to learn to listen and talk. Authentic provided Hearing First with an all-encompassing strategic plan for a national digital launch, a multi-phase website build, social media awareness campaigns, content marketing, and more.

From the beginning, we really believed in Hearing First’s mission to improve listening and spoken language outcomes for children born deaf or hard-of-hearing by providing information and education to those that need it, when they need it most. So we created a custom-tailored strategy that included technology, creative design, UX strategy, and targeted marketing to bring that passion to life across the entire Hearing First digital ecosystem.

The biggest challenge? Creating a digital ecosystem and messages to meet the needs of two vastly different audiences: parents and family members of children born deaf or hard-of-hearing, and the professionals who serve them.
