When Verizon FiOS released its Quantum TV product, a DVR on steroids, it wanted to hit the market with a splash. We quickly devised a way to turn a common yet relatively minor first-world problem (inadequate DVR storage/functionality) into a major call to action— Say it with us: “Fake lawsuit!”
We partnered with Above Average and YouTube comedy duo Tripp and Tyler to create a series of spoof attorney ads touting the "dangers" of being #Showverwhelmed, while positioning FiOS as the remedy.
The videos were distributed through YouTube TrueView ads, Facebook/Twitter video ads, and natively on the popular Tripp & Tyler and Above Average YouTube channels. By rolling development, talent, production and YouTube paid media into one package, this campaign was also a lesson in efficient campaign execution.
